Some other departments within the College also offer courses, in particular the Clinical Effectiveness Unit (CEU) which runs several courses for surgeons interested in research and evidence-based surgery.
Finding the Evidence: developing your literature searching skills
Did you know that the ISCP syllabus states that by the end of ST2 you should be able to “conduct a literature search and critique clinical papers”? This is a key part of the development of your professional skills and behaviour.
Run by The Royal College of Surgeons of England Library team, this course is aimed at surgical trainees at the initial and intermediate stages, but will benefit anyone wishing to improve their search skills, from basic searching to in-depth research, in support of their practice.
