Bypass, Balloon Pumps and Circulatory Support

The course will contain some lectures but will predominantly be practical in a format allowing all participants to gain hands-on experience with the devices mentioned above. Setting up and running a CPB Circuit, as well as insertion and maintenance of the IABP will be the key components of this course for each participant. A very high ratio of faculty to participants will ensure a thorough understanding and familiarity with all topics covered.
