Advanced Applied Female Pelvic Anatomy and Surgery
This two-day course is aimed at senior trainees ST 5+ and consultants in female urology, urogynaecology and reconstructive urology. It will consolidate and improve current reconstructive experience of urinary incontinence, prolapse and fistula surgery under the instruction of a faculty of knowledged experts.

Aims
This course aims to provide an understanding of the pure and applied anatomy of the female pelvis and the techniques of, indications for and outcomes of urinary incontinence, prolapse and fistula surgery including:
- Open colposuspension
- Rectus fascial sling
- Mid urethral tapes - suprapubic and trans obturator
- Abdominal and vaginal fistula repair
- Urethral diverticulum repair
- Ileocystoplasty
- Sacrocolpopexy
- Anterior and posterior repair
- Bladder neck artificial urinary sphincter
- Bladder neck closure and Mitrofanoff formation
- Colovaginoplasty and Ileovaginoplasty
Course Programme
Open colposuspension, rectus fascial sling, mid urethral tapes, abdominal and vaginal fistula repair, urethral diverticulum repair, ileocystoplasty, Sacrocolpopexy, anterior and posterior repair, bladder neck artificial urinary sphincter, bladder neck closure and Mitrofanoff formation, colovaginoplasty and ileovaginoplasty formation including the pure and applied anatomy of the techniques, indications, contraindications and complications under the instruction of a faculty of acknowledged experts.
Format
- Cadaveric demonstration of the pure and applied anatomy of the various techniques listed using prosections and fresh frozen cadaveric dissection.
- Video demonstration of the techniques accompanied by experts discussions of tips, pitfall, pros and cons of the various techniques and their complications.
- High ratio of tutors to delegates.
