Current Concepts in External Fixation in Trauma
This course is dedicated to the use of external fixation in orthopaedic trauma. Topics will include anatomy and surgical techniques, the biomechanics of external fixation, the early management of open fractures, temporary external fixation and definitive dreatment including external fixation in children and an introduction to definitive circular fixation. The course will involve a number of workshop sessions including lower limb, pelvic and wrist fixation and practical advice on pin site and patient care.

The Royal College of Surgeons of England is offering a bursary to orthopaedic trainees. This is available to trainees who wish to attend specialty courses in orthopaedic surgery held in the Education Centre at the College.
