Rhinology

  • Examination of the nose
  • Analgesia and epistaxis
  • Removal of foreign body
  • The nasal septum

Otology

  • Microscope set-up
  • Handling of micro-instruments
  • Working in the external ear and insertion of ventilation tubes
  • Drills and drilling

Head and neck

  • Direct examination of pharynx, larynx and trachea +/- bronchi
  • Microlaryngoscopy
  • Tracheostomy
  • Flexible naso-phargo-laryngoscopy

Surgical skills

  • Using loupes
  • Suturing
  • Nerve monitoring
  • Examination of patient
