This is a modular course, however we would encourage participants to take modules 1 and 2 together and modules 3 and 4 together. It is aimed at ST 1-2, ST 3 who wish to pursue a career in urology. Trainees should aim to attend the whole course over 1-2 years. Modules 1 and 2 must be completed before modules 3 and 4.

Module 3 - Open Diagnostic Day
- The theoretical basis of USS and urodynamics
- The use of USS TRUS and urodynamics equipment including video and ambulatory
- The techniques, indications and complications of diagnostic USS of abdomen, pelvis and scrotum, TRUS of prostate and TRUS biopsies of prostate, flow rate, pressure-flow studies
- Part of this module will be held at University College Hospital, London
Module 4 - Scrotal and Penile Surgery
The anatomy of the inguinal, scrotal and penile regions. The techniques of, indications for and complications of:
- Vasectomy
- Epididymal cyst excision
- Lords and Jabouley hydrocoele repair
- Frenuloplasty
- Circumcision
- Dorsal slit

- Small group discussion and demonstrations
- Video demonstration and hands-on experience with trainer models, models patients or tissue models
- Cadaveric demonstrations
