Specialty Skills in Oncoplastic and Breast Reconstruction Surgery (Core)
Incorporating the principles of breast reconstruction and aesthetic breast evaluation, this course is designed to provide an introduction to the principles and practice of oncoplastic breast surgery. The course is a fantastic mixture of lectures and practical hands-on training delivered by the faculty comprising of experienced oncoplastic breast and plastic surgeons.

Day One

- Assessment of breast aesthetics: How to measure and record breast contours
- Mastectomy or breast conservation? How to assess breast: Tumour volumes
- Oncoplastic mastectomy: Techniques and tips
- Post mastectomy reconstruction: Principles and indications
- Implant reconstruction: Implants and implements
Day Two
- Breakfast tutorial: Training and fellowships
- Oncoplastic breast conservation: Volume displacement and replacement
- Oncoplastic breast conservation: Mastopexy/reduction techniques
- Expectations and outcomes: Informing the patient
- Oncoplastic guidelines
- Multidisciplinary meeting
Format
Two days of tutorials and workshops with live models, cadavers, anatomical prosections, operative videos and skills stations. The grand finale will be an interactive oncoplastic MDM.
