A joint event from the RCS and the Manchester Regional Association of Surgeons: Advancing Surgical Standards in the North West
Thursday 18 April 2013, 9.00am – 5.00pm, Education and Research Centre, University Hospital of South Manchester
The Royal College of Surgeons of England and the Manchester Regional Association of Surgeons are pleased to announce a joint meeting on Advancing Surgical Standards in the North West. The meeting will be held in the Education and Research Centre at the University Hospital of South Manchester on Thursday 18 April 2013 from 9.00am – 5.00pm.

- Clinical outcomes data and risk adjustment
- Trainee led research by the Northwest Research Collaborative
- Better Training Better Care dedicated training lists and cadaveric workshops
- Question Time with Professor Norman Williams, President of the RCS
- Trainee poster prize
The event will be followed by dinner at Chancellors Hotel, Manchester. If you would like to attend the dinner to be held at Chancellors Restaurant following the meeting, could you please send your name and a cheque for £20.90 made payable to:

The event is free to attend for all North West surgeons. To book a place, please complete the online form.
Trainee poster prize
North West surgical trainees are invited to submit abstracts for the poster prize to be awarded at the event. Research should be original and the topic should relate to 'Improving Surgical Standards'. Abstracts should be no longer than 200 words and submitted by email to Mrs Sarah Duff . The closing date for submission is 10 March 2013
