FDS Information for Patients
Information for patients from the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons
We at the Faculty aim to achieve and maintain the highest standards of clinical practice and patient care through our Fellows, Members and trainees. The interests of patients lie at the centre of all of our activities. A member of the College’s Patient Liaison Group attends all of the Board of Faculty's quarterly meetings to give the patient’s perspective on all important matters.
This section provides accessible information for patients on specialist dental topics. Information is provided via FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) on various specialist areas and by links to the websites of relevant Specialist Societies and other organisations. This section supplements the main patients' section of the Royal College of Surgeons website.
For information on issues relating to general dental practice please consult our sister Faculty and the British Dental Association. In addition there is wealth of information on health matters in general at NHS Direct.
