FDS Research Fellowships

The Faculty of Dental Surgery will support Research Fellowships of up to two years duration, in an aspect of specialist dentistry and oral and maxillofacial surgery.

The Fellowship award will cover salary, on-costs and research consumable costs.

Eligibility: Applicants must be Fellows or Members of the Faculty of Dental Surgery of RCS Eng.

Joint FDS-Wellcome Trust Research Fellowships

The Faculty of Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons of England, in conjunction with the Wellcome Trust invites applications for full-time, clinical research fellowship (up to two years duration). The proposed program should be of relevance to oral and dental research.

The award will cover salary, on-costs and research consumable costs.

Eligibility: Applicants must be Fellows or Members of the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the RCS Eng who are in specialist training or early career research workers are eligibile to apply.

Small Grants Scheme

The Faculty will also award up to five research small grants up to the value of £10,000 each. These small grants are designed to meet research consumables costs for new or existing projects.

These grants are designed primarily for early career researchers and not for individuals who are well established in research.

Eligibility: Applicants must be Fellows or Members of the Faculty of Dental Surgery of RCS Eng.

2011 Competition

Applications for 2011 research competitions will open in November 2010, with a closing date in late January/February 2011 (TBA).
