Requesting images
Requesting photographs and slides from material in the library's collections. Obtaining images of the College's portraits and works of art. Links to sources of contemporary images relating to surgery and medicine.
The library can provide photographs and slides from material in its collections. These are supplied on a commercial basis but there are special rates for Diplomates which are available upon request.
If you are preparing a paper or a lecture we can often help with illustrative material, but please order slides or photographs well in advance of your deadline as it may take several weeks to process an order. All requests for photographic services have to comply with copyright law. Please email library@rcseng.ac.uk for further information.
For contemporary images of surgical and College activities please see the College's ImageBank.
Please be aware that the library does not have any collections of modern clinical material. Such photographs can be obtained from the Wellcome Trust's Medical Photographic Library, which collects contemporary images from teaching hospitals and health professionals throughout the UK.
