The Wellcome Museum of Anatomy and Pathology is a unique and important resource for learning and teaching human anatomy and pathology. It is open to all individuals with a surgical, medical or relevant profession.
The museum contains over two thousand wet preparations demonstrating the important aspects of anatomy and pathology. Additional material, including disarticulated bones and teeth, microscope slides, anatomical models, examination couches and MATTU trainers, can also be accessed. We are also currently in the process of introducing plastinated preparations.

The museum provides a pleasant, spacious and well lit environment for teaching and study. It is an important and easily accessible resource for individuals and groups who need to learn and revise anatomy and pathology, particularly when access to wet specimens can be limited.
The museum and its collections can be used for private study by individuals or groups. It is a particularly important resource in the lead up to examinations. The museum can also be hired, providing an excellent venue for workshops and courses for up to 100 people.

The museum is open to all qualified practitioners and students on recognised courses in medicine, nursing and allied health subjects, and related scientific/technical subjects. In recent years the museum has provided invaluable support for numerous groups including surgical and medical trainees, nurses, physiotherapists, osteopaths, forensic scientists and osteoarchaeologists. The museum is not open to the public.

Opening hours: 10.00-17.00 Monday to Friday. We are closed on bank holidays. The museum may be closed at other times for examinations, therefore booking is essential. Please call 020 7869 6560 or e-mail Museums in advance to book a visit.
Admission is free for individual visitors, but donations are appreciated. Entry charges apply to groups and group visits must be booked in advance.
