NHS Evidence – surgery, anaesthesia, perioperative and critical care

On 1 June 2009, the Library and Information Services department of The Royal College of Surgeons of England launched NHS Evidence – surgery, anaesthesia, perioperative and critical care. This is a resource which provides access to current, quality assured, evidence based information to support practice and research. The scope of this collection (formerly known the Specialist Library for Surgery, Theatres and Anaesthesia) has been newly extended to encompass the field of critical care.

The collection is managed by the College in collaboration with the Royal College of Anaesthetists and University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust. You can access all the content and features at: www.library.nhs.uk/theatres/

Provided by NICE, NHS Evidence is a new service which will develop, enhance and expand the services that were previously provided by the National Library for Health (NLH). The NLH and its specialist libraries became part of NHS Evidence on 1 April 2009.
