Trainees sign up to Patient Safety First Campaign

10 September 2009

The Association of Surgeons in Training (ASiT) have signed up to Project SAVED (Surgical checklist and improving the experiences of Doctors in training), which aims to encourage trainees to further promote the World Health Organisation Safer Surgery Checklist. From September 21-27 ASiT, as part of Patient Safety First week, are encouraging all trainees to familiarise themselves with the Checklist and provide feedback to the Patient Safety First campaign via an online questionnaire.

The Royal College of Surgeons is committed to improving patient safety and has been involved in the development of the Safer Surgery Checklist initiative, which we recommend to our fellows and members.
