Affiliates

The Affiliates' membership scheme is a means of providing support and information to trainees. Membership is free to anyone with a valid GMC number in a UK post at PRHO or SHO level (including foundation level trainees).

The Affiliates' membership scheme was developed by the Royal College of Surgeons of England as a means of providing support and information to trainees at ST2 and ST1 level (this also applies to foundation trainees). Membership is free and includes the following benefits:

Regular Affiliates' newsletter keeping you up to date with developments in surgery and information relevant to your training
FREE online access to the College’s 'Annals' and 'Bulletin'
Access to College facilities – such as free internet access and multimedia learning resources in the Lumley Study Centre
10% off Nuffield accommodation
College Diary (requires a home address)

Who can become an affiliate?

Anyone with a valid GMC number in a foundation, ST1 or ST2 level who are not a member of a UK college.
