Recruitment to ATLS Steering Group

The ATLS® Steering Group (SG) is an advisory committee which reports to the Learning Committee of The Royal College of Surgeons of England.

The SG is comprised of the Chair, six representatives of the instructor family and a co-opted member representing ATNC.

We are currently recruiting to the vacancy on
The ATLS®Steering Group. We seek to make the steering group representative of the whole instructor family. Even if you have never considered a leadership position within ATLS® before, but you have a passion for the delivery of ATLS® courses across the entirety of the United Kingdom, we urge you to consider applying and influence the future of ATLS®. Successful appointees will be expected to take on an appropriate portfolio of activities to support the ATLS® Clinical Lead and the Learning Department.

The post is available from January 2025. Tenure of office will be four years, subject to satisfactory contribution to the SG.

Please refer to the role description and person specification for more information about the SG and the eligibility criteria for the applicants.

If you would like to apply, please complete the application form by 11.45pm on 27 October 2024.

I urge you to consider applying. Although there is considerable commitment involved and a fair amount of effort too, the post is a highly rewarding one which gives the ability to influence not just the UK ATLS
® course programme but also the global ATLS® community.

Please contact Agi Gizzi agizzi@rcseng.ac.uk if you would like to discuss the role.
