Hunterian Museum
Now closed until 2021
The Hunterian Museum is closed to the public until 2021 while the Royal College of Surgeons building is redeveloped. When we reopen we look forward to welcoming the public into new, fully accessible spaces that will tell the history and ongoing story of surgery.
Closure of the Hunterian Museum
In preparation for a full-building refurbishment of the whole of the RCS from Summer 2017 to Autumn 2020, the Hunterian Museum has now closed. The museum will reopen in 2021.

Hunterian Museum events
During the closure of 35-43 Lincoln's Inn Fields, we plan to work with partner institutions and heritage organisations to deliver outreach events on the themes of surgical and medical history for schools, families and adults. We will continue our surgery schools sessions.
