Event Overview 

After 5–10 years in practice, many SAS and consultant surgeons find themselves at a crossroads; balancing increasing responsibility with the need to evolve professionally.

                                  Ram Moorthy, RCS England Council member and Chair of the event, will welcome                                    delegates to the conference and detail the day's schedule.

9.45am                      Mid-career: What does it really mean?

                                  Arin Saha, an RCS England Regional Director and faculty member, will set the                                            scene for the quickfire talks on local and national roles.

10.05am                    Getting Ready for Leadership: Local and National Roles 

                                  Quickfire talks from Regional Specialty Advisor, Mohiemen Anwar, Regional                                              Director, Tawakir Kamani, Examiner, Shirley Chan, Faculty member, Arin Saha,                                      and Council member, Dorothy Kufeji explore leadership roles and the importance                                      of getting involved.

12noon                      Being the Safe Space 

                                  RCS England Council member and Society of British Neurological Surgeons                                                (SBNS) bullying and mentoring representative, Ian Kamaly-Asl will guide us                                                through being the safe space in the surgical work environment.
