RCS Elective Prize in Surgery and the PKK & SK Elective Fellowships
The RCS Elective Prize is an award of up to £500 for clinical students wishing to pursue a career in surgery and planning to undertake an elective in surgery in the ‘developing world' in 2020/2021 and are possible thanks to the kind donations of the Prieskel family.
This PKK & SK Elective Fellowships are two awards of up to £1000 each for clinical students wishing to pursue a career in surgery and planning to undertake an elective in surgery in India in 2020/2021 and are possible thanks to the kind donations from the PKK & SK family.
Closing date: 08 September 2020
Clinical students at a UK medical school who are paid Affiliates of The Royal College of Surgeons of England and are wishing to pursue a career in surgery, and planning to undertake their elective attachment in surgery in the ‘developing world' during the 2020/2021 academic year (July 2020 to August 2020), are eligible to apply.
How to apply
There are no application forms or further details. Students wishing to apply should email a set to firstname.lastname@example.org and post a set of the following documents: (a set equals one of each of the following documents)
- a copy of your CV
- an A4 typed sheet detailing your project and what you hope to achieve
- a letter of support from a consultant surgeon or dean of your medical school
- a letter of support from the consultant surgeon where the elective attachment will be undertaken confirming supervision of the project
