New NHS England statistics published today show the huge strain COVID-19 is putting on waiting lists, with more than 200,000 patients waiting more than a year for hospital treatment. Mr Tim Mitchell, Vice President of the Royal College of Surgeons of England has said Covid-19 continues to take an enormous toll on hundreds of thousands of people across the country left waiting for an operation.

The Royal College of Surgeons of England (RCS Eng) is backing the national Fight Fatigue campaign, a joint initiative of the Association of Anaesthetists, the Royal College of Anaesthetists and the Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine. The campaign aims to raise awareness of the impact of fatigue and shift work on our NHS workforce.
