Sustainability Champions

Taking over from our Sustainability in Surgery (SiS) Group, originally launched in 2019, our Sustainability Champions were appointed to help guide, inform and implement our sustainability projects from September 2023 onwards.

Champions Day 2023

We began by welcoming our Champions and leading experts to the first Sustainability Champions Day at the College to discuss how we can work together to make surgery greener, help the NHS meet its net zero carbon target, and create a safe future for our patients and our planet. As part of the day, the Champions worked with artist, Caroline Chapple, to create this roadmap to a more sustainable future in surgery.
