Exam Overview
This is a temporary booking page for candidates contacted by email to complete payment for the following MFDS Part 2 exams:
- MFDS Part 2 in London (November 2025)
- MFDS Part 2 in Kuala Lumpur (January 2026)
Due to system restrictions, the year of both exams are displayed as 2026. If you are completing payment for the MFDS Part 2 exam in London in November 2025, please book the London exam marked as 2026 and you will be booked onto the correct 2025 diet.
Places are not allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so you have time to complete this step. The booking window closes at 5pm on the closing date.

Any bookings from candidates who are have not received an invite to complete payment by email will be cancelled. Refunds in this case may take up to nine weeks to process and will be subject to a 20% administrative fee.

Eligibility
Education and Training Requirements
To be eligible to enter the MFDS exam, all candidates must:
- have written confirmation of a pass in Part 1 before they may apply to sit Part 2. This should be Part 1 MFDS , the relevant passes in MFGDP(UK), MJDF or MFD (as set out in paragraph 9 of theexam regulations);
- possess a primary dental qualification acceptable to the boards of the dental faculties at The Royal College of Surgeons of England, and should normally be registered to practise dentistry in their country of residence;
- have completed 12 months’ full-time postgraduate experience in dentistry. Normally, equivalent part-time experience will be acceptable if gained over a period of three-and-a-half years;
- have complied with all of theexam regulations.

Exemptions
Format of Examination
Part 2 is a two and a half hour Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) circuit comprising 14 stations, 11 of which will be assessed and three will be preparatory, within a single circuit. The circuit will assess communication skills, clinical skills and clinical reasoning skills. Candidates will be required to attain a single minimum standard for the circuit as a whole in order to pass the exam.
The examination will be conducted face to face.
