Wellcome Museum of Anatomy and Pathology
Now closed until 2021
The Wellcome Museum of Anatomy and Pathology is now closed as part of the full refurbishment of the RCS. The museum supported medical/allied-health trainees and professionals in their study and understanding of human anatomy and pathology.
From 2021 the collections will be made available as part of a new anatomy and pathology resource centre.
Assist with MRCS candidate revision
We are recruiting surgeons from all specialties (SPR4-5 and above) in the London and South East to help MRCS candidates' revision by volunteering to provide specimen-based anatomy and pathology teaching at MRCS candidate study sessions.
Up-to-date experience with the structure of MRCS examinations is desirable but not essential.
The Anatomy Collection
The collection - currently in storage until 2021 - consists over 1,000 specimens preserved to demonstrate human anatomy.
The Pathology Collection
The collection - currently in storage until 2021 - consists of over 4,000 specimens illustrating all the important branches of surgical pathology.
Wellcome Museum events
There are currently no Wellcome Museum events scheduled due to the closure of the museum until Autumn 2020.
