Event Overview

Surgery is one of the most satisfying careers in medicine, offering a hands-on opportunity to save and transform lives. However, becoming a surgeon can be a lengthy and daunting process. We are committed to providing you with the support and resources for entering and progressing through your career.

Who should attend?

This conference is for all medical students. If you are keen to explore the options within a surgical career and expand on your knowledge and skills, this is a perfect event for you.  

How will you benefit?

This conference will include a variety of lectures and workshops to ensure you gain as much from the day as possible. This is also a great opportunity to network with peers. A wide range of different topics will be covered, such as - 

  • Diversity, equity and inclusion 
  • Introduction to laparoscopic skills
  • The future of surgery

Ticket type

In person

This full day conference is free for affiliate members you will simply pay a £15 deposit and be refunded shortly after you attend the conference.

Please note if you are not currently a member but would like to know more about RCS membership and its benefits then please reach out to the team at membership@rcseng.ac.uk or via this link. If your membership application is approved prior to 19 May then please book a refundable ticket.

Online 

For those unable to join us in person in London, this conference will also have an option to attend virtually. Tune in via our events platform to access the talks, participate in the activities, share your views and questions, and network with other delegates and speakers.
