Event overview

Join us for Ready for Leadership 2026, on Wednesday 30 September at our London HQ.This in-person only event brings together our Emerging Leaders community, senior leaders and advocates from across surgery for a day of reflection, discussion and shared learning.

Who should attend?

This event is designed for women and non-binary individuals in established leadership roles who are keen to share their experiences and discuss the realities of leadership within their specialty. Spaces are limited, with priority given to senior surgical and dental leaders, including consultants, SAS doctors, senior residents and senior dental surgeons.

What to expect from the day

This year's theme, disruptive leadership, explores how we can challenge assumptions, offer different perspectives and create meaningful change without losing sight of our values or authenticity.

Across the day, we'll explore how to navigate influential spaces, speak up with confidence and create meaningful change while staying true to your values. Through keynote speakers, interactive workshops, panel discussions and personal reflection, you'll hear honest leadership stories, learn from peers and senior leaders, and consider how influence, allyship and authentic leadership can help turn challenge into progress. Alongside fresh perspectives and practical insights, you'll have the opportunity to reconnect with a supportive community that understands the realities of leadership in surgery and the unique challenges of stepping into wider leadership roles.
