Sharpen your robotics skills
Throughout August, members can drop in and experience the Robotix Express™ robotic surgery simulator at our Bjorn Saven Centre. Through a learner-led session, you have the chance to explore robotic surgery in a hands-on environment and practise skills used in robotic procedures.
Whether you're curious about robotic surgery, looking to introduce it within your trust, or wanting to keep your skills up to date, Robotix Express™ provides an opportunity to practise key skills such as:
- camera control;
- instrument manipulation;
- hand-eye coordination.
Plan your visit
There is no need to book. Members can drop in from 9am to 4.30pm on weekdays throughout August on a first-come, first-served basis.
Sessions are held in the Bjorn Saven Centre at RCS England. When you arrive, check in at reception and a member of the team will assist you.
Each session lasts 30 minutes. If no one is waiting, you're welcome to continue using the simulator.
There may be a short wait at busy times. While you wait, take the opportunity to explore our facilities:
- The Hunterian Museum, open 10am-5pm, Tuesday to Saturday.
- The Anatomy and Pathology Museum, open 10am-5pm, Monday to Friday. Walk up visits are welcome, but booking ahead is recommended.
