Conferences
We have developed a series of events to support our members, to keep you up-to-date with the profession and providing CPD, giving you the opportunity to network with and learn from colleagues, and providing you with the advice you need.
Our events are a membership benefit, we keep costs to a minimum and offer free or preferential rates for affiliates, members, fellows and associates.
Our career development events, run regularly across the year and across the UK, will provide you with the knowledge and advice you need at key points during your career. We currently run the following events:
- So you want to be a surgeon – aimed at medical students and Foundation doctors interested in a career in surgery
- Preparing for consultancy – aimed at ST6 upwards getting ready to apply to your first consultant post
- New Consultants Conference – for those who have taken up their first substantive consultant post
- Experienced surgeons - aimed at those planning their retirement and looking to diversify during the latter stages of their career
