Comment by Professor Michael Escudier on the death of Professor Jack Rowe

24 May 2019

Professor Michael Escudier, Dean of the Faculty of Dental Surgery, said:

"I was saddened to hear of the passing of Professor Rowe, who made an important contribution to the Faculty of Dental Surgery and a number of other prominent dental institutions. He served as the Faculty’s Vice Dean between 1987 and 1988, and was awarded the Colyer Gold Medal by the College in 1993 in recognition of his contribution to dentistry. Professor Rowe was also Dean of Guy’s Dental School from 1985 to 1991 where he is very fondly remembered, and a founder member and past-President of the British Society of Restorative Dentistry. Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time."
