RCS England Innovation Hub

The Innovation Hub (I-Hub) is an initiative by RCS England that connects industry partners to support surgical innovators in developing, evaluating, and delivering new products and tools.

We do this by providing education and support to innovators, hosting innovation events and connecting partners and innovators. This initiative is for surgeons by surgeons from a variety of disciplines, surgical specialties and grades.

Our mission is to provide surgeons and allied healthcare professionals with the best surgical solutions, whether physical or digital, that address real-world challenges surgeons face.

This initiative builds on the 2018 Future of Surgery report, the 2022 Future of Surgery: Technology Enhanced Surgical Training report and our Future of Surgery Programme.

Providing education and support

We equip members with essential tools, including access to experts, and early-stage support, to help advance innovations.

We organise events and offer our Innovation Clinic to support your journey.

Connecting innovators to partners

At each step of the journey, we provide innovators with access to our network of members and industry partners to connect our innovators with the right people and organisations. The I-Hub collaborates with companies to link them with expert frontline clinicians eager to share their knowledge and skills to support new surgical products.

To learn more, join the Innovation Hub network or contact the team for advice, email innovation@rcseng.ac.uk or Book an Innovation Clinic support session.
