Specialty Advisory Committees

Specialty Advisory Committees (SACs) are intercollegiate bodies which advise on higher specialist training in the dental specialties. Their role is explained in greater detail in the Terms of Reference and Standing Orders for SACs.

SAC Members

SAC members are nominated by the dental faculties of the four surgical royal colleges and specialist associations according to the Terms of Reference and Standing Orders for SACs. The qualities and experience required to be an SAC member are outlined in the person specification and role description outlines what members do.

We are currently recruiting for an SAC in Orthodontics Representative. For more information, please contact Emma Jones on ejones@rcseng.ac.uk. Apply with your CV by the closing date of 1 October 2025.
