Event Overview
Join us for a live webinar exploring the origins, evolution, and global impact of the Cambridge Anastomosis Workshop, an advanced, hands-on surgical training course using prepared animal material to teach operative techniques. Designed for surgical trainees at all levels and some consultants, including senior trainees in gynae-oncology, for whom it is mandatory, the workshop remains highly relevant in the laparoscopic era. We’ll also explore its international expansion, including workshops in Africa and Asia, and the Train the Trainers model.
This session, chaired by Mr Bill Thomas, Chair of the Senior Fellows' Society, and presented by Mr Clive Quick, Associate Lecturer in Surgery, will offer insights into the workshop’s enduring value, its role in shaping surgical education, and its future in the UK and beyond.
