Event overview
Join us at our upcoming webinar to explore the findings of the National LGBT+ Health Report, led by Dr Michael Brady, National Advisor for LGBT+ Health at NHS England.
This session will unpack what the report means for surgical and perioperative teams, offering practical, evidence‑based guidance that supports more inclusive, informed and confident patient care.
By attending, you will:
- understand the future priorities and steps to improve LGBT+ health;
- learn the role of surgeons and anaesthetists in improving LGBT+ health;
- discover the challenges faced by LGBT+ patients undergoing surgery;
- gain clarity on key perioperative considerations for gender-diverse and transgender patients;
- appreciate the importance of the National LGBT+ health review.
Chaired by Karen Chui, Chair of the Pride in Surgery Forum (PRiSM), who will be joined by a specialist panel, including Dr Michael Brady, Luke Flower, and Alex Ashman discussing insights from a surgical and peri-operative perspective.
RCS England webinars are accredited for up to one CPD point and are free for all.
