Gender Pay

The RCS is committed to ensure equality of opportunity and to promote diversity for all existing and potential staff, Affiliates, Members, Fellows, Council Members, contractors and visitors. This is enshrined in our values. Our aim is that our recruitment and employment practices promote and support equal opportunities and do not discriminate unlawfully in any way.

As of 5 April 2018, our staff population comprised of 62% female employees and 38% male employees. Our mean pay gap is 13.2% (National Average 17.4%). We have produced a report with the full results of our gender pay gap audit and outlining the actions we have taken and planned actions to address our gender pay gap moving forward.
