Future Surgeons Forum
The Future Surgeons Forum was set up by The Royal College of Surgeons of England to improve links between medical schools, foundation doctors and the College at a student level. It is effectively a committee of 30 student representatives from most medical schools in the UK that meets twice a year.
The forum's primary objective is to promote surgery as a career choice among medical students and foundation doctors. At forum meetings, representatives from these societies report on their recent activities, share best practice and discuss the challenges they are facing as they embark on the early stages of their surgical career. If you are a surgical society president and would like to represent your society on the forum, please email Sarah Jackson at OutreachSouth@rcseng.ac.uk.
