Additional Roles for Surgeons

Throughout your career, you may want to take on additional roles to develop your interest and expertise outside clinical practice. These could include College roles, managerial positions and trust, deanery or SHA appointments.

Most of these roles are appointed in open competition and will require varying levels of prior experience or qualifications. A non- exhaustive list of these and sources of further information is below.
