Medical student awards

Information on the wide range of travel awards provided by the College.

Thanks to generous contributions from our donors, we are able to offer a range of education awards every year. Winning an award gives you a sum of money to spend on attending an RCS course.

Prizes are useful additions to your CV, demonstrating both a commitment to a surgical career and achievement of excellence. Winning is not necessary for inclusion – being short-listed or getting any kind of placing will still be a CV boost.

Are You Cut Out For It? is the national surgical skills competition for Core Trainees (CT2s), organised by the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
