Inviting applications for RCS Surgical Specialty Leads

The RCS Surgical Specialty Lead (SSL) roles have developed over the last seven years and SSLs are now national leaders of surgical clinical research in their specialties, with almost all specialties represented by an RCS SSL. These posts have been developed in partnership with, and supported by, surgical specialty associations and partner charities. These partnerships have been instrumental to the success of the SSL posts and the Surgical Trials Initiative as a whole.

Breast Surgical Specialty Lead

We are delighted to be partnering up with the Association of Breast Surgery and Breast Cancer Now to invite applications for a second Surgical Specialty Lead in Breast Surgery. Currently there is one breast SSL, with responsibility across the whole of breast surgery, who has been supported by three Associate SSLs.

Deadline for applications is noon Friday 11 March 2022. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to be interviewed via Zoom from 4pm Thursday 24 March 2022. Please save this date as an alternative interview date cannot be provided.

All completed applications along with a letter of support from your HEI should be submitted to research@rcseng.ac.uk before the deadline.
