The development of standards and guidance is one of the key functions of the RCS to support good practice in surgery and service provision.

We develop a range of resources, guidelines, tools and standards aimed to reflect the changing healthcare environment and provide direction to surgeons with matters of their daily working practice and support service providers in the design and delivery of high quality surgical services.
