Miss Elizabeth Tissingh awarded Honorary MBE

His Majesty the King has recognised Miss Elizabeth Tissingh as an Honorary MBE as part of the awards recognising outstanding contributions by foreign nationals.
Miss Tissingh is a trauma and orthopaedic surgeon at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital Stanmore, and leads a partnership between King's Global Health Partnerships and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
The College extends its congratulations to Miss Tissingh. Her pioneering work in strengthening surgical systems and patient care in the DRC is nothing short of inspirational.
