Introducing a new delivery partner for the MRCS Part A

The Intercollegiate Committee for Basic Surgical Examinations (ICBSE) and the four Surgical Royal Colleges of the United Kingdom and in Ireland can confirm that the MRCS Part A examination will be delivered in partnership with Pearson Vue from 10 May 2022 onwards. Pearson Vue has a network of over 5,600 computer-based test centres around the world.
Candidates who have successfully applied for the Part A in May 2022 will be able to book their place at a Pearson Vue centre in April 2022. The four Colleges will contact candidates directly with further details of how to do this prior to booking opening, and will provide candidates with more detail on how the exam will be delivered. No action is required from candidates at this stage and no further details are currently available. Therefore candidates are requested not to contact the ICBSE, the Colleges or Pearson Vue regarding their exam booking.
