Jackie Weller is appointed as Chief Executive of RCS England

The Royal College of Surgeons of England (RCS England) is pleased to announce the appointment of Jackie Weller as its new Chief Executive.

Jackie has been a dedicated member of the College’s leadership team for over three decades, most recently as Acting Chief Executive. She brings a wealth of experience in strategic transformation and operational leadership, having led the College’s building redevelopment programme and played a pivotal role in shaping its digital transformation programme.

Commenting on the appointment, Tim Mitchell, President of RCS England, said:

“Jackie has demonstrated exceptional leadership, integrity and vision during her time as Acting Chief Executive. Her deep understanding of the College, combined with her commitment to collaboration, excellence and respect, makes her the ideal person to lead us into the next phase of our development. I look forward to working closely with her as we continue to support our members and champion the highest standards in surgical care.”

On her appointment, Jackie said:

Jackie’s appointment follows an externally managed competitive recruitment process and marks a significant milestone in the College’s ongoing transformation.
