JCIE Chair appointment

The Joint Surgical Royal Colleges have confirmed the appointment of Mr Michael Lewis to Chair of the Joint Committee on Intercollegiate Examinations (JCIE).
The presidents of the four Royal Colleges have issued a letter on the appointment, which reads:
'Mr Lewis, a Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon based in Brighton, was appointed following a rigorous, transparent and competitive intercollegiate selection process, during which we considered applications from outstanding candidates across our profession.'
